One Direction

One Direction, abreviação 1D,  é uma boyband pop formada na cidade de Londres, Reino Unido, em 2010. Os integrantes são Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik e Niall Horan, cinco gatos e cantores otimos!!!!
 O quinteto foi formado após seus membros participarem do programa de televisão X-Factor, um rality show musical, como competidores solo e depois se unirem para concorrer como grupo; eles acabaram na terceira colocação entre os finalistas.
 O single de estreia, "What Makes You Beautiful", foi lançado no dia 11 de setembro de 2011 e alcançou a primeira posição no Uk Singles Chart. Seu single seguinte, "Gotta Be You", foi liberado em 13 de novembro do mesmo, seguido por seu primeiro álbum, Up All Nitht, em 21 de novembro de 2011. O álbum foi o décimo sexto mais vendido de 2011 no Reino Unido, com 468 mil cópias. A banda assinou contrato com a Columbia Records para lançar Up All Night em 20 de março de 2012 na America do Norte.
Em menos de um ano de carreira a banda é vencedora de dois Kids' Choise Awards e Bizarre Awards, um NMA Awards, três 4Music Awards e um BTR Awards por melhor single de 2011. A banda é inspirada por cantores e bandas de música Pop e Rock britânicos e americanos como Snow Patrol, Coldpay,Robbie Willians, Elvis Presley, Lady Gaga e Justin Bieber, mas segundo o vocalista Payne a principal influência da banda é o grupo Backstreet Boys, tanto para carreira musical quanto a vida pessoal.
